What should I do if the semitrailer skids?

I believe many car owners have experienced vehicle slippage. It is more likely to slip on rainy days and muddy ground, so what should you do if your semi-trailer slips?

1. The trailer will slip. The reasons include: the ground is too slippery, causing some problems with the direct friction with the tires; it may also be due to excessive braking, rapid acceleration, and rapid changes in the opposite direction. All of these will cause the trailer to slip.

2. Rear wheel slippage will occur, usually when the speed is too high when entering a curve or when driving on smooth, rough or high-bump roads, and braking is caused by excessive braking. Generally speaking, when the front wheel slips, you should pay attention to whether the car is front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The method of dealing with rear wheel slippage is the same.

3. If the rear tire slips, we can turn the steering wheel in the direction of the slip, but remember not to apply the brakes. When the front wheel slips, we will find that the steering wheel cannot rotate. At this time, we can repeatedly apply the brakes, so that we can find that the steering wheel can rotate slightly.

4. The slippery road surface leads to insufficient adhesion between the tires and the road surface, and improper operation can cause the vehicle to slip sideways and lose control. To prevent wheel slipping, maintain the vehicle speed and do not slam on or lift the accelerator; keep the distance between vehicles and do not drive too fast; overtake and change lanes carefully and do not swerve; use the brakes with caution and do not slam on the brakes.
