What are the differences between semi-trailers and full trailers? This is something that many friends are concerned about. Next, the low-bed semi-trailer manufacturer will introduce it to you.

In fact, the interface method between the full trailer and the semi-trailer is different from the interface method of the tractor in front. A full trailer or semi-trailer is identical, but it also does not have its own powertrain. A full trailer means that the front of the trailer is connected to the rear of the tractor. The large tractor only gives support and does not bear weight. A semi-trailer means that the upper part of the trailer is assembled on the traction seat plate on the rear side of the tractor, and the drive shaft behind the tractor bears part of the total weight of the trailer. Common semi-trailers are trailers and large and medium-sized container trucks.

A semi-trailer is a trailer towed by a semi-trailer tractor, and part of its quality is borne by the tractor. The semi-trailer and the semi-trailer tractor together become a semi-trailer train. Just like two people carrying a piece of wood on their backs, the person in front is the electric locomotive and the person behind is the semi-trailer. Both of them have to bear the net weight of the wood.

The train length is relaxed from 16.5m to 18.1m. There are many types of semi-trailers, most of which are produced as special vehicles, such as general chest trailers, warehouse rail semi-trailers, coal-pulling semi-trailers, dump truck semi-trailers, low-profile semi-trailers, shipping container semi-trailers, and shipping container semi-trailers. Container structure transports semi-trailers, box-type semi-trailers, special semi-trailers, etc.

The load of the full trailer is borne by itself and is only connected to the electric locomotive through the lifting hook. The electric locomotive only provides power to help the truck get rid of road friction. A full trailer can stand on its own tires, while a semi-trailer must use its front legs to stand. At present, the common full trailers in our country include box-type full trailers, platform-type full trailers, shipping container full trailers, dump truck-type full trailers, etc.

Because the drawbar or window frame of the full trailer can swing up and down or left and right relative to the vehicle body, the full trailer has advantages when driving in mountainous areas or on difficult roads.

However, its shortcomings are also very obvious, mainly reflected in the poor reliability of the full trailer when traveling quickly, and it is very prone to serious risks such as braking and drifting, and the traction frame ruptures, causing serious traffic accidents. Due to the outstanding shortcomings of full trailers, full trailers have basically been replaced by semi-trailers in China.
