Everyone knows that when buying a new semi-trailer, there must be a running-in period in the early stage. After a certain running-in period, the vehicle will be able to drive freely on the road and have an in-depth understanding of the semi-trailer. During the running-in period, You also need to maintain the semi-trailer.

1. When a new car leaves the factory and starts driving, the moving parts of the car have not yet been run-in, so they must be used with caution, otherwise the damage to the parts will be aggravated. Therefore, it is generally stipulated that within a certain initial mileage, for example, the vehicle must be driven strictly in accordance with the regulations within 100 to 2,500 kilometers. This period is called the running-in period of the semi-trailer.

2. Running-in is the basis for extending the service life of a trailer. Whether it is a new vehicle or an overhauled engine, it must be run-in according to regulations before it can be put into normal operation. Before leaving the vehicle, a comprehensive inspection must be carried out, which requires that the connection with the main engine is correct and reliable, the braking system is normal, the tire pressure meets the regulations, and all parts must not be loose, cracked or deformed.

3. During running-in, the load shall not exceed 80% of the rated load mass. Do not overload. The goods in the carriage must be evenly distributed to avoid danger caused by tilting the carriage. When the trailer is driving, you should pay attention to check whether the brakes are hot, whether there is any abnormal smell, whether the trailer's running device is offset, etc. If there is any abnormality, stop the vehicle immediately to check and eliminate it.

4. The tire pressure should be checked at room temperature every month. If it is lower than the normal standard, the tire pressure should be replenished in time. The air pressure cannot be too high or too low, otherwise it will affect driving safety. Check the tires for cracks and replace them promptly if there is a safety hazard. When selecting tires, they should be of the same model.

5. After driving about 150 kilometers at a medium speed, you should pay attention to the temperature of the bearings and wheel hubs and whether the leaf springs, wheels and other fasteners are tightened. Tighten these parts every 40 kilometers or so. It can be used normally after tightening three times.

6. When using a new trailer, the trailer should be properly maintained. Check whether the trailer's tools, spare parts and accessories are complete, and whether all components are complete. Check whether the connectors and fasteners of each part of the trailer are secure, whether the wheels and turntables are flexible, whether the tire pressure is normal, whether the switches work reliably, and whether the braking effect is good.

7. After every five hundred working hours, the tire bearing clearance should be checked. During inspection, jack up the car and turn the wheels. There should be no obvious shaking; if there is obvious shaking, it should be adjusted. The method is to remove the bearing cover, screw the groove nut on the shaft head to the bottom, and then back it 1/6 turn. At this time, the bearing clearance is about 0.25 mm.

8. If running-in is done well, problems such as insufficient vehicle power, high fuel consumption, early wear and tear can be effectively avoided, and the power and economy of the vehicle can be maintained. During the running-in period, please pay attention to gentle use and avoid excessive vehicle speed and excessive engine load.
