Auxiliary support pier is the additional safety barrier of container semi trailer. In the design process of semi-trailer, most designers believe that using two legs of more than 25 tons can fully meet the requirements of 40 tons of total mass of semi-trailer under no-load or heavy-load conditions, connected or unhooked with the tractor, static placing and other conditions. As a user, based on the following two real accident cases during the operation of semi-trailer and the reasons of improving the safety of the semi-trailer, the designer is required to consider setting the auxiliary support pier between the two legs.


(1) Case 1: In the heavy-duty unhanging condition, due to the uneven ground, the force of the two legs is not uniform, the gear group in the legs suddenly fails and tooth sweeping occurs. The tank gravity will cut all the connection bolts between the 8 groups of legs and the frame tangentially; Z eventually caused the sudden collapse of the front half of the semi trailer.


(2) Case 2: After the tractor is attached to the liquefied petroleum gas semi-trailer, the safety pin on the pallet of the tractor is not fully reset, and the traction pin suddenly breaks away from the pallet of the tractor during the driving process, resulting in the sudden collapse of the front half of the semi-trailer.


(3) Fortunately, the two semi-trailers involved in the accident had the help of auxiliary piers, which prevented the tank body from being damaged due to the direct impact of the front head on the ground.


In the above mentioned accident cases, one of them was that the concrete guardrail and the left valve box were swept off by the concrete guardrail and the light pole when the semi-trailer was turning on the highway approach bridge because of its too fast speed, and then directly tipped over to the bottom of the bridge. The gas-liquid emergency cut-off valve and handling ball valve of the integrated structure in the box are cut at the flange connecting flange, the flange connecting bolt of the gas phase port is partially broken, the flange and assembly are bent, and the two pipe ports leak and lead to fire; Due to the complex structure of the site environment and cracking and leaking parts, Z can not take ideal fire extinguishing and plugging measures, and take tank fire water cooling control mode, so that the liquefied petroleum gas in the tank is completely burned out.
